Cherokee HolidayCherokee National Holiday

The Cherokee National Holiday is held annually on the Labor Day weekend to commemorate the adoption of the Cherokee Constitution on September 6, 1839.

During this weekend the Cherokee Heritage Center comes alive with activity.  Arts and crafts booths fill the west lawn of the museum, food booths offer everything from traditional foods to hamburgers and funnel cakes.   Cherokees compete in blow-gun and marble contests, an exhibition stickball game and stomp dance will also take place near the museum.

Arts & Crafts booth space is still available.  Call 918-456-6007 for details.
